Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") describes the rules for using the Nerve Core platform and the AI visibility operations service. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violating the AUP is a material breach and can result in suspension or termination.

1. Purpose

Nerve Core helps businesses get recommended by AI assistants. That work depends on legitimate signals, honest content, and respect for the platforms and the public. This AUP keeps the service useful for everyone.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use the platform, the deliverables, or any output of the service to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Defraud, deceive, or harm any person or business, including by publishing false reviews, fake citations, or misleading claims about a product or service.
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or patents.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any individual or group.
  • Distribute malware, spyware, viruses, or any harmful code.
  • Send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or violate anti-spam laws.
  • Promote or facilitate illegal goods, services, or activities, including but not limited to weapons trafficking, illegal drugs, exploitation, or violent extremism.
  • Generate or distribute child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualizes minors.
  • Operate the service in regulated industries (such as financial advice, medical diagnosis, or legal practice) in a way that requires a license you do not hold.

3. AI-specific rules

Because Nerve Core operates on top of AI assistants, the following AI-specific rules apply:

  • Do not use the platform to manipulate or mislead AI assistants through prompt injection, fake citations, fabricated awards, fabricated reviews, or cloaking.
  • Do not use the platform to suppress, demote, or attack a competitor in AI search through false claims or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
  • Do not submit prompts or content that ask the platform or any connected AI provider to produce illegal content, hate speech, harassment, doxxing material, defamatory material, or material covered in section 2.
  • Do not bypass safety or content filters of any AI provider integrated with the platform.
  • Do not use the platform to generate deepfakes, voice clones, or synthetic media that impersonates a real person without their explicit consent.
  • Do not use the platform to generate political disinformation, election interference content, or material designed to deceive voters.
  • Do not represent AI-generated content as having been independently authored by a named human without that human's involvement and approval.

4. Content rules

Capture assets you publish using Nerve Core deliverables must be accurate, truthful, and clearly attributable to you or your business. Specifically:

  • Do not publish a claim you cannot substantiate (for example, "voted #1" without a verifiable source).
  • Do not falsify case studies, customer quotes, or testimonials.
  • Do not misuse another business's trademark, logo, or proprietary content.
  • Do not publish content that infringes copyrights, including by reproducing substantial portions of third-party articles.
  • Review capture assets before publishing. You are responsible for what goes live under your name.

5. Security and integrity

You may not:

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without our prior written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform, our infrastructure, or any user's use of the service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models, prompts, or skills, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automation against the platform beyond the official API.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the platform as a service to a third party without our prior written consent.

6. Third-party platform terms

When the service interacts with third-party platforms (search engines, AI assistants, social platforms, directories), you agree to follow those platforms' own terms of service. You may not use the Nerve Core service to violate any third-party platform's policies.

7. Enforcement

We can investigate suspected violations and take any action we believe is appropriate, including warning, throttling, suspending, or terminating accounts; removing content; refusing service; and notifying law enforcement when required. Enforcement decisions are at our discretion. We aim to be transparent and proportionate but we do not commit to a specific process for every situation.

8. Reporting violations

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please report it to abuse@nervecore.io with as much detail as you can share. Reports about copyright are handled separately through the contact on our Terms of Service page.
